Yijing Zhou grew up in Shanghai, China. He started attending a Math Contest Group in 6th grade, but didn't do well in contests. That didn't deter his interest in math, though. Things changed in the fall of his junior year in high school, when he won First Prize in the China National Math Olympiad. In his senior year, he scored Top 10 in the Shanghai High School Contest. The valuable lesson he learned from math training is to be persistent, creative, and to exhaust different approaches. Yijing has a B.S. in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University. Currently he's working at Deutsche Bank as a strategist with the algorithm trading product team. Yijing joined Math-M-Addicts in 2015.
