Alexey Vaysburd

Alexey Vaysburd came to the United States from Odessa, Ukraine in 1990. While in middle school he joined the Math Circle (Youth Math School) at Odessa State University and later taught mathematics there to high school students for three years. Alexey received a Winner Diploma at the national Tournament of Cities Mathematics Competition in 1986 and won 3rd place at the Ukrainian Collegiate Math Olympiad in 1989. Alexey earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Courant Institute at NYU, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Cornell. Alexey has worked for eight years at D.E.Shaw and six years at Millennium. He has been teaching at Math-M-Addicts since 2015.
